This symbol will keep recurring. It summarises in the form of a mandala, the organisation of this work as it will emerge over coming months.

THE CIRCLES

The outer circle represents the universe as we get to know it. What is outside is the unknown and also the mysterious, the unknowable. The shape and scale of this circle is accelerating through modern science and technology. But there are other dimensions.

The inner circle represents humanity, our nature and evolutionary potentialities, especially in the domains of consciousness, creativity and compassion.

The intermediate circle represent the earth and the biosphere including humanity as a species of nature.

THE TRIANGLES

The triangle on any scale represents the three fundamental aspects of our experience: process (or function); being (or inner togetherness) and will (or the rules of the universal game).

The three circles provide a flexible scaffolding through which we can explore the meaning of a cosmic ecology.
